2 Peter 3:3-6
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with WATER, perished:

verse 7
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto FIRE against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

The big words to note here: WATER and FIRE.

Hebrews 11:6
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

II Peter 2:5
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

So many folks condemn the Apostolic teaching of Baptism for the Remission of sins, and Receiving the Holy Ghost baptism as a NECESSITY for Salvation... However, in the most specific and delicate way, God has proved to the hungry heart throughout human history that this happens to be a Divine Ordinance that must BE OBEYED. This is the only cleansing and preparation that would create a clean earth for the Kingdom of God to be ushered in....

Can not we see that Noah.. even though seemed to be crazy, a preacher of Righteousness built an ark to the saving of his family.. and was saved by... yes he was saved by water. (1 Peter 3:20)

Notice this is the first time Almighty God used such a complete judgement of the world. He WIPED out the WHOLE earth except for EIGHT SOULS!!!!

Matthew 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Now the conclusion of the whole matter..Do you have any idea of when and how God will wipe out the whole earth again? Yes, by FIRE... the elements will melt with a fervent heat. And the same thing goes here.. we will be saved by FIRE.
You are asking what? Well was not Noah saved by water? Yes.. the thing that should have destroyed him actually saved his soul. Thus, we are sanctified and justified in the name of the LORD Jesus and by the SPIRIT of our God.

This means a water baptism.. (1 Peter 3:21.. the like figure whereas baptism doth also now save us.)

But then don't forget what John the Baptist said..

Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with FIRE:

The FIRE is ZEAL.. JOY UNSPEAKABLE and FULL OF GLORY.. IT IS EXCITEMENT.. REVELATION THAT MAKES YOUR EYES GLOW...

But as we grow in GOD, this FIRE is also a purifier to keep us on the Right Track..

Thus, a child of God, born of WATER and of the SPIRIT is a type and shadow of the earth we live on.

The Earth had a washing of WATER.. But without the FIRE to purge the ever emerging nature of sin.. This world would still be unprepared to usher in the Kingdom of God.

Such as it is with the Born Again child of God.

John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of WATER (Noah) and of the Spirit (FIRE, The judgement of the world), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.


That is why it burns to get close to the Apostolic Church.. Judgement begins at the house of God.. and if the RIGHTEOUS SCARCELY BE SAVED.. where shall the sinner and the ungodly stand?
But please remember, allowing preaching to prick your heart.. and allowing a minister to baptize you in Jesus Name... and allowing God's Spirit to change your life.. through obeying the foolishness of preaching, prayer and fasting, studying your Bible.. to me is much much much less extreme to meet Him unprepared....!
