Who is JESUS CHRIST?

The foundation of the New Testament church is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Even though the traditional Christian will tell you that the Godhead is a mystery, the bible tells us that it is clearly understood by the things that are seen (Romans 1:20) so that we are without excuse. So what is this revelation? So many groups today teach about the "saving knowledge" and accepting "Christ as your personal savior".  But what is the revelation of Christ that the apostles talked about?

For example take a look at this:

APOSTLE PETER Matthew 16:17
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
APOSTLE PAUL Galatians 1:11,12
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The revelation is that Jesus Christ is the Saviour, the Christ, our GOD.
Jesus taught that we must believe this or we would die in our sins:

John 8:24
If you do not believe that
I am he, ye shall die in your sins."

We are to believe that Jesus Christ is both our Lord (God) and our Saviour (Messiah). I am he refers to the God of the Old Testament.

Isaiah 43:10
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that
I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no Saviour."

NATURAL MAN'S UNDERSTANDING
Jesus asked something to the religious leaders of his day that they could not answer :
Mark 12:35 "How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son?
And the common people heard him gladly."

Theology of the Apostles

The Holy Ghost gives the answer to this question. We see this on the day of Pentecost, when the fisherman Simon Peter answered it. Acts 2:33-38; Peter discussed this same issue later in his epistles. He taught that JESUS is both Lord and Christ. (God and Messiah)

Acts:2:36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness,
GOD was manifest in the flesh...,

Jesus Christ is God in the form of man. The One God of Israel became the Saviour by taking on flesh.

The fullness of the Godhead is in Him. (Colossians 2:9) . See Rev 22:3,4

2 Corinthians 5:19
To wit, that
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

"Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting." ISAIAH 63:16
